This box-pressed torpedo shaped cigar had a very smooth wrapper with hardly any visible seams. The pre-light nose and taste was clean with a slight earthy cocoa trait. From the first puff to the last this cigar had a big creamy mouth-feel and texture with a slight amount of peppery spices that were more noticeable in the nose. There was a lot of cocoa in the flavor with more spice that continued to develop as the cigar was smoked. It had a flawless slow and even burn that clung to a dense, nearly white ash. A peppery, anise, nutty characteristic kicked in and was noticeable on the back end of each puff. Big dark chocolate flavors. Spices lingered on the tongue while that ever present creamy texture coated the palate. This cigar was well rounded and balanced. It was very smooth yet offered full flavors and a medium-full body.

One of the best,in my opinion
Given Padron\'s reputation, I expected something special. The first third was acrid with a bad flavor, though it did beginning smoothing out & developing a better flavor half-way through. By the end, the cigar was very smooth, flavorful, & smokeable. Had the entire cigar been such, it would\'ve become a favorite.
all padrons are good but the 1964 is my favorite...smooth with lots of chocolate ...only drawback is the price so treat this stogie as a special treat once in a while
